9 Before and After Bathroom Renovations

The fastest way to judge a renovation team is to see what they've actually built — not renders, not stock photos, but real Ottawa bathrooms before and after the work. Below are nine of ours, spanning tight 3-piece bathrooms, basement builds, custom showers, and full ensuites across Barrhaven, Orleans, Nepean, and beyond. Each one started as a dated, awkward, or worn-out space and finished as a room the homeowners actually wanted to use.
Project 01: Custom 4-pc. Bathroom
An outdated master bathroom with a dated corner tub and heavy tile became a light, colourful, hotel-inspired space. We reworked it into a full 4-piece bathroom where every fixture earns its place — a clean walk-in shower, a freestanding tub, and a bright vanity. See more of our work in Barrhaven.
Project 02: Bathroom in the Basement
A basement is one of the tougher places to add a bathroom — drainage, waterproofing, and ventilation all have to be solved from scratch. We turned a dull, dark lower level into a bright, functional basement bathroom with high-quality fixtures and a layout that finally makes the space usable for guests.
Project 03: Fresh and Contemporary Renovation
This one shows how much tile choice alone can change a room. Swapping a tired tub-and-curtain setup for white tile, a frameless glass walk-in shower, and modern fixtures took an outdated washroom to clean and current — proof that a refresh doesn't always mean gutting everything.
Project 04: Bathroom with a Custom Shower
Black and white never dates. For this Orleans bathroom we built a striking custom shower with black fixtures and a matching black sink, set against crisp white tile. The contrast makes a fairly compact room feel deliberate and high-end rather than busy.
Project 05: Bathroom with a Custom Bench
A built-in bench is one of those details that's far easier to plan into the build than to add later. This Barrhaven shower pairs light marble-look tile with a tiled bench and glass enclosure — comfortable, accessible, and clean-lined. It's a good example of designing the custom shower around how the room is actually used.
Project 06: 3-pc. Bathroom Renovation
Small doesn't mean limited. This Nepean bathroom went from an obsolete design with dark, dated fixtures to a contemporary 3-piece bathroom full of light and glass. The footprint didn't change — the sense of space did.
Project 07: Modern Makeover
Dark tile, done right, reads as elegant rather than heavy. This complete renovation in the Hunt Club area leans on simplicity — restrained decor, rich tile, and a large glass shower — to make the room feel like a calm retreat. When a whole room is dated, a full bathroom renovation like this resets everything at once.
Project 08: Small Bathroom Renovation
Scarcity of space is the most common challenge we're handed — and usually the most satisfying to solve. Here we removed a bulky, rarely-used tub and built a walk-in shower in its footprint, a classic tub-to-shower conversion that instantly made a cramped bathroom feel open and easier to use.
Project 09: Ensuite Bathroom Renovation
For an ensuite, the brief is usually personal: a space that feels like yours. We blended modern finishes with classic elements to create a comfortable, tailored ensuite — modern where it counts, warm where it matters, and built to last.
