Full-Service Bathroom Renovation in Nepean

Your bathroom shouldn't just work — it should actually be a place you don't mind spending time in.

I've done bathrooms all over Nepean. Mid-century bungalows in Crestview and City View where layouts are tight, townhouses and condos in Centrepointe, family homes in Manordale and Bel-Air Heights — every place has its own quirks.

We handle the whole thing at BeLeaf Renovation. You're not calling one guy for design, another for plumbing, someone else for tile. It's just us — from figuring out what you want to actually building it. Way simpler.

And if the environmental stuff matters to you, we can do that. Better fixtures that use less water, materials that aren't terrible for the planet. It doesn't mean your bathroom has to look boring or sacrifice anything. There's actually good options now.

Every bathroom has different needs — and so does every homeowner.

Our Bathroom Renovation Services in Nepean

At Be Leaf Renovation, we offer tailored solutions for Nepean’s diverse homes, whether you’re looking for a compact guest bath remodel or a luxury ensuite transformation

Walk In Shower Renovation isometric view

Your ensuite should feel like your space, not just another bathroom in the house. Some people want a calm spot to wake up in the morning, others need practical stuff like double sinks because two people getting ready at the same time is chaos otherwise.

I've done a lot of master ensuites — walk-in showers, heated floors for the winter, storage that actually makes sense. It really depends on how you use the space. If you're someone who takes long showers, that matters. If you need a place to put all your skincare stuff, we figure that out. The goal is just making it work for how you actually live.

Tub to Shower Conversion isometric view

Most people don't use their tub. It just sits there taking up half the bathroom while you awkwardly step over it to use the shower. So yeah, ripping it out and putting in a proper walk-in shower makes a ton of sense.

You get more space, it's easier to get in and out (especially as you get older), and honestly it just looks cleaner. Plus we use Schluter waterproofing, which is basically bulletproof. I've never had one leak. The tub was probably nice when you moved in, but if you haven't used it in three years, it's time to let it go.

Adition Bathroom isometric view

Sometimes you just need another bathroom. Maybe the kids are older and fighting over the one you have, maybe you're tired of guests using yours, maybe you finished the basement and it needs a bathroom down there.

We build new bathrooms from scratch — get the permits sorted, run the plumbing, do the whole thing. A lot of times we can knock it out in 2-3 weeks, depending on what we're dealing with. It's disruptive for a bit, yeah, but then you've got an extra bathroom and your life gets way easier.

Ensuite Bathroom Renovation isometric view

This is for when you want to actually love your bathroom, not just tolerate it. Freestanding tub, really nice tile, good lighting that makes everything look better, custom vanity built exactly how you want it. The spa bathroom thing, basically.

It costs more, obviously. But if you're gonna spend money on your house, the bathroom's not a bad place to do it. You're in there every day. I work with people on the design until it's right — we're not just picking stuff out of a catalog and hoping it works. Whether you're in Barrhaven or Centrepointe or wherever, we figure out what makes sense for your house and what you're going for.

Not sure where to start?

Our team will guide you through every option — from space-saving layouts to luxury upgrades — and help you choose what’s best for your home.

Bathroom Renovation Nepean Kanata Neighbourhoods

Every Nepean neighbourhood has its own character — and so do its bathrooms. From mid-century bungalows in Crestview and City View to compact condos in Centrepointe and family homes in Manordale, we know what each Nepean home needs.

Neighborhoods We Serve in CENTREPOINTE

Centrepointe

  • Centrepointe is one of Nepean's most active renovation areas. Built mostly in the 1980s and 2000s, the neighbourhood mixes townhouses, condos, and detached homes. Bathrooms here are often compact — especially in condos — which means smart layouts matter. Common Centrepointe projects include floating vanities, walk-in showers without curbs, wall-hung toilets, and storage built into the wall. We handle condo board approvals as part of the process.

BEL-AIR HEIGHTS Neighborhoods We Serve

Bel-Air Heights

  • Bel-Air Heights is a mature Nepean neighbourhood built largely in the 1960s. Homes here typically have one main bathroom with builder-grade fixtures and an outdated layout. Renovations in Bel-Air Heights often focus on full modernization: new walk-in shower, double or larger vanity, updated lighting, and replacement of the original plumbing rough-ins. Many of our clients here are also planning ensuite additions in the primary bedroom.

Neighborhoods We Serve in CRESTVIEW

Crestview

  • Crestview is one of Nepean's classic 1960s bungalow communities. Most homes here still have original bathrooms with compartmentalized layouts, builder-grade fixtures, and aging galvanized plumbing. Renovating in Crestview usually means more than a refresh — it's a full rebuild that opens up the space, replaces the plumbing, and brings the bathroom up to current standards. We know these homes well and plan for what we'll find behind the walls.

Neighborhoods We Serve MANORDALE

Manordale

  • Manordale is a family-focused Nepean neighbourhood built mostly in the late 1960s and 1970s. Bathrooms in these homes are typically functional but tired — original tile, vanity, and fixtures with decades of use. Manordale families often want a 4-piece bathroom that handles morning rush: double vanity, walk-in shower with linear drain, durable porcelain tile, and storage that fits a busy household. Cost-conscious updates are common here.

CITY VIEW Neighborhoods We Serve

City View

  • City View is another established Nepean community of 1950s and 1960s bungalows. Bathrooms in these homes are typically small and dated, with original cast iron tubs, single vanities, and limited ventilation. Most City View renovations involve removing the tub, opening up the layout, replacing rough-in plumbing, and adding proper exhaust. The result feels twice as big — even though the footprint hasn't changed.

TREND-ARLINGTON Neighborhoods We Serve

Trend-Arlington

  • Trend-Arlington is a 1960s mid-century Nepean community with detached homes on quiet streets. Bathrooms here often have layout quirks — narrow rooms, awkward placement of plumbing, low ceilings in basement baths. Trend-Arlington renovations often involve layout changes: moving the toilet, converting tub to walk-in shower, or expanding the bathroom into an adjacent closet. We work with what the original house allows, no demolition theatre.

What Makes Bathroom Renovation in Nepean Different

Nepean isn't a single neighbourhood — it's a collection of 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s suburbs with their own characteristic bathroom challenges. Renovating here is different from working in newer Ottawa areas like Avalon or Stonebridge. Here's what Nepean bathroom projects actually involve.

The era of Nepean homes

The majority of Nepean was built between 1950 and 1975. Crestview, City View, Bel-Air Heights, Manordale, Tanglewood — all classic post-war bungalow and split-level neighbourhoods. The bathrooms are small (typically 5×8 feet), compartmentalized, and full of original materials: cast iron tubs, galvanized supply lines, single vanities, builder-grade tile, and prefab fibreglass tub surrounds. Most haven't been touched in 30+ years.

Common challenges in older Nepean bungalows

When we open the walls in a Crestview or City View bathroom, we usually find the same things: galvanized pipes corroding from the inside, cast iron drains that should have been replaced 20 years ago, undersized electrical for modern fixtures, no proper exhaust ventilation, and original 60-year-old subfloor that's soft around the toilet flange. We plan for all of this from day one — no last-minute change orders.

Compact bathrooms in Centrepointe condos

Centrepointe condos and townhouses go in the opposite direction: newer construction, but very tight footprints. The challenge here isn't aging materials — it's making a small space functional. We use floating vanities to expose floor (visually expanding the room), wall-hung toilets to save 10 inches, frameless glass showers instead of curtains, and full-wall mirrors to bounce light. Condo board approvals are part of the work, and we handle them.

Accessibility considerations

Nepean has a higher-than-average share of retirees, especially in established neighbourhoods like Crestview, City View, and Manordale. Many of our clients are renovating with aging-in-place in mind: walk-in showers without curbs, grab bars at the right structural locations, comfort-height toilets, lever faucets, and slip-resistant tile. We integrate accessibility features so they support daily life without making the bathroom look clinical.

What Nepean Homeowners Say About Us

We’re proud to have transformed bathrooms for families across Nepean.
Here’s what our clients say about their experience with BeLeaf Renovation:

Bob McIntosh

We were very pleased with the work Be Leaf recently completed for us in renovating a bathroom shower and floor tiles. Alex and Alex demonstrated a strong commitment to excellent work - they were painstaking! The work was on time and on budget. They were attentive to our wishes and clearly aimed to satisfy them. I would mention too that they cleaned up after themselves very nicely. I would highly recommend Be Leaf to anyone considering a bathroom renovation.

Very happy with 5 piece master bathroom renovation. It was heavy job involving removal of tile on all walls and floor, partial sub floor replacement, etc ... Be Leaf was easy to work with, completed the job on time and kept the place clean.

We recently had two bathrooms, including ensuite completely gutted and renovated by Be Leaf Renovation. Alex was very easy to get along with and assisted us from start to finish in selection of our finishing materials. He was always available to answer our questions, explain the process and made sure each step went smoothly and according to the plan. The team was on time, professional and respectful throughout the process.Special shout-out to Peter for his hard work and care in making everything look perfect. The workmanship and attention to detail exceeded our expectations - both bathrooms look incredible. Additionally, the project finished on time. We couldn’t be happier with the results and highly recommend Alex and Be Leaf Renovation to anyone looking for quality work and a team that truly cares.

If I could add another five stars for a total of ten I would do so without hesitation for the work done by Be Leaf Renovation Inc.. Alex, the General Contractor and his team just finished a total transformation of our bathroom. To put it into context, the original 1960's bathroom was a structural disaster with severe leakage and water damage from the window and ceiling fan, resulting in severe moulding and general rot. Even the original floor tiling was done with tar. The team gutted the whole area and created a beautiful, modern, functional walk-in shower conversion with a vanity and toilet in light colours and modern shower accessories. What a difference! We were most impressed with the quality of the workmanship, the materials chosen, the hard working pace of all the contractors, including the plumbing and electrical work required. They did not hesitate to recommend alternative ideas for what seemed to be unworkable solutions as they uncovered one problem after another. Notwithstanding the unforeseen issues they uncovered, they were still able to complete the work ON TIME. Surreal. We are so happy with our new bath to shower conversion and would not hesitate to recommend Be Leaf Renovation Inc. for anyone thinking about doing any renovations in future. These guys are in a league of their own. Cheers.

Bathroom Renovation FAQ for Nepean Homeowners

Have questions? We’ve got answers.

Here’s what Nepean homeowners often ask before starting their bathroom renovation:

  • Be Leaf Renovation serves all Nepean neighbourhoods: Centrepointe, Crestview, City View, Bel-Air Heights, Trend-Arlington, Manordale, Tanglewood, Knollsbrook, and surrounding areas. Our team has completed bathroom renovations across Nepean's full range of homes, from compact Centrepointe condos to classic 1960s bungalows in Crestview and City View. Call 613-883-0018 if you're not sure whether your street is in our service area.

  • Yes — older Nepean bungalows are one of our most common project types. Most Crestview, City View, and Bel-Air Heights homes were built in the 1960s, which often means original galvanized pipes, cast iron drains, undersized vanities, and compartmentalized layouts. We've completed dozens of these renovations. We know what to expect when we open the walls and we plan for it from day one — no last-minute surprises.

  • Bathroom renovation costs in Nepean depend on the era of your home, the size of the bathroom, materials you choose, and whether the layout changes. Older homes (Crestview, City View, Bel-Air Heights) often need plumbing modernization, which affects the budget. We provide transparent fixed-price quotes upfront — no hidden fees. See our full pricing page for a detailed breakdown by bathroom type.

  • Most Nepean bathroom renovations take 2–3 weeks from demolition to final walkthrough. Newer Centrepointe condos and townhouses typically run on the shorter end. Older Crestview and City View bungalows may need an extra week if we uncover original 1960s plumbing or need to relocate fixtures. We give you a concrete timeline after the in-home consultation, not a generic estimate.

  • Yes, Compact bathroom design is one of our specialties in Centrepointe. We work with smaller footprints, awkward layouts, and condo bylaws regularly. Common Centrepointe solutions include floating vanities, walk-in showers without curbs, wall-hung toilets to save floor space, and clever storage built into the wall. We handle all condo board approval paperwork on your behalf.

  • Often, yes. Homes in Crestview, City View, Bel-Air Heights, and Manordale (built 1950s–1970s) frequently have original galvanized supply lines or cast iron drains that are reaching end of life. When we open the walls, we inspect everything and recommend replacement only where it makes sense. We'll show you exactly what we found and explain the options before any extra work begins.

  • If you're adding a bathroom, moving plumbing fixtures, or making structural changes, the City of Ottawa requires a permit. Cosmetic refreshes (new tile, vanity, fixture swaps in the same location) usually don't. We handle all permits — building, plumbing, and ESA electrical — for every Nepean project under Ontario Building Code. You don't deal with the city paperwork; we do.

  • Yes. Many Nepean homeowners are aging in place, especially in established neighbourhoods like Crestview, City View, and Manordale. We handle walk-in showers without curbs, grab bars at the right structural locations, comfort-height toilets, lever faucets, slip-resistant tile, and barrier-free layouts. Our team knows how to integrate accessibility features into a bathroom that still looks beautiful — not clinical.

  • Basement bathroom additions are common in Nepean, especially in mature bungalows where the basement was previously unfinished. We handle the full scope: rough-in plumbing, waterproofing, ventilation, drainage, electrical, and finishing. If your home has an existing rough-in stub, we can usually complete the project in 2–3 weeks. If we need to add a new rough-in, expect 3–4 weeks.

  • Once we've completed your consultation and design, we typically schedule construction 2–4 weeks out, depending on the season. Spring and early fall are our busiest periods. We always start with an in-home visit at your Nepean address to measure the space and discuss what you want — only then can we give you an accurate start date and timeline.
